Ingot is generally made of metal, either pure or alloy, heated past its melting point and cast into a bar or block using a mould chill method. Polycrystalline or single crystal ingots made by pulling from a molten metal. Ingot is a mass of metal that has been cast into a size and shape (such as a bar) that is convenient to store, transport and work into a semi-finished or finished product. The term also refers to a mould in which metal is so cast. Ingot is suitable for further process.
